HOCKLEY, Texas – The Kansas women's golf team shot a 298 (+14) in the second round of the Big 12 Championship at Houston Oaks Golf Club and is tied for ninth place at +29 through 36 holes.

"I think the course played difficult. It's a challenging championship course and if you miss the green you got to be comfortable and confident with your short game," Head Coach
Lindsay Kuhle said, "Unfortunately we weren't that yesterday but got a little more comfortable today." Coach Kuhle adds.
Oklahoma State leads the 14-team conference championship at +6, with Houston and TCU three shots back in a tie for second at +9. Iowa State sits in fourth at +11, while Arizona rounds out the top five at +12 for the tournament.

Senior
Lauren Clark led the Jayhawks with a one-over 72, following her opening-round 75 on Monday. Her round on Wednesday included three birdies and moved her up 15 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 24th at +5.

Amy DeKock had a solid bounce-back round, carding four birdies on her way to a 73 (+2). She also climbed 15 spots on the leaderboard and is tied for 34th at +8.

Sophomore
Lyla Louderbaugh shot a 75 (+4) in the second round and is tied for 31st at +7 for the tournament.
"Really proud of Lauren, Amy, and Lyla's rounds today. Amy and Lauren bounced back from yesterday and I think it shows a lot of grit, which is great." Coach Kuhle said.
Freshman
Ebba Nordstedt carded two birdies on Wednesday and finished with a 78 (+7), sitting at +9 overall in a tie for 42nd place.

Lily Hirst carded a 79 (+8) in the second round and is tied for 62nd individually at +16.
