Why Did You Choose KU?
I chose KU because it’s close to home, and the women in the program were super welcoming. It also seemed like the program showed the most promise and would support me the most in my growth as an athlete.
How Did You Get Introduced to Rowing?
My mom heard about the opportunity from a friend who recommended I look into it. I did, and I began my rowing career freshman year at KU.
Favorite Thing to Do in Lawrence?
Going on walks around Clinton Lake or walking around Mass Street.
What Is Your Favorite Pre-Race Tradition?
Karaoke on the bus ride to the course with my teammates to get the nerves out.
Personal Details
My dad went to K-State, but my brother and I both went to KU. My mom was the one who first introduced me to the idea of rowing in college. I did not row before college; I played soccer and basketball instead. I’ve also traveled to 10 different countries.
