Get to Know Hailey
Why Did You Choose KU?
I chose KU because it gave me the opportunity to compete at the Division I level while aligning with my academic and athletic goals.
How Did You Get Introduced to Rowing?
My mom’s assistant cross country coach, Mrs. Roush, rowed at Wichita State University and introduced me to the sport and the idea of rowing.
Favorite Thing to Do in Lawrence?
Playing or watching sports and spending time with friends.
What Is Your Favorite Pre-Race Tradition?
Praying and surrendering the opportunity to compete to the Lord. If I’m really nervous, I listen to worship or Christmas music.
Personal
I come from a big family and have always loved sports.
