Get to Know Maggie
Why Did You Choose KU?
I thoroughly enjoyed the team atmosphere when I came on my official visit and was excited at the prospect of being a part of the development of the program. I also love big sports, and I'm so ready to be part of the KU fanbase!
How Did You Get Introduced to Rowing?
I tried the ERG with some rowers as a cross training tool while I was running cross country in sophomore year, and I ended up joining the team in the spring and loving it. I've been rowing ever since!
Favorite Thing to Do in Lawrence?
I love walking the shops on Mass Street and trying new restaurants with friends!
Favorite Pre-Race Tradition
Listening to Tokyo Drifting by Glass Animals
Personal
My family and I along with our golden retriever have visited more than 30 states in our camper! We were once chased down a trail by a bison in Theodore Roosevelt National Park after almost stepping on a rattlesnake.
