
Pair of Jayhawks to Compete at ITA All-American Championships

Cary, N.C. – Kansas women's tennis will send two athletes to Cary, North Carolina to compete in the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 21-29.Â
Heike Janse van Vuuren and Gracie Mulville will compete individually in women's singles, with Janse van Vuuren playing in the prequalifying round on Sept. 21-22, and Mulville playing in the qualifying round on Sept. 23.Â
The pair will also compete together in women's doubles action, starting with the prequalifying round on Sept. 21-22.Â
Mulville and van Vuuren were ranked at No. 69 in doubles in the ITA Preseason Rankings released earlier this month, while Mulville was also named the No. 116 singles player in the ITA Preseason Rankings. Â
The 2024 ITA Women's All-American Championships will have a draw size of the following, Singles: Pre-Qualifying (128), Qualifying (64), Main Draw (64) and Doubles: Pre-Qualifying (32), Qualifying (32), Main Draw (32). From this, ten singles players (10) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists). Meanwhile, four doubles teams (4) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the All-American Championships (four main draw semifinalists).Â
