Kansas Softball Associate Head Coach Rich Wieligman announced his retirement Wednesday after coaching at Kansas for the last seven seasons.

The seventh seeded Kansas Jayhawks dropped their Big 12 Quarterfinals matchup to the second seeded Oklahoma Sooners 10-1 Thursday at ODE Energy Field at Devon Park.

Kansas’ sold out senior day was upended in a 3-0 loss to BYU on Saturday afternoon at Arrocha Ballpark in the 2024 regular-season finale. 

Kansas dropped Friday night’s game to the BYU Cougars, 12-2 at Arrocha Ballpark in five innings in front of a sold out crowd.

Kansas fell to BYU 8-6 in a back-and-forth affair Thursday night at Arrocha Ballpark in the first game of a three-game series.

The Kansas Jayhawks (27-21-1, 11-13 Big 12) host Big 12 newcomer BYU (26-22, 8-16 Big 12) in a three-game series at Arrocha Ballpark from May 2-4, Thursday-Saturday. This will be the first time Kansas and BYU have squared off at Arrocha. Saturday, KU will celebrate its eight seniors in its annual senior game event.
