Kansas’ loss at Nebraska

…Drops Kansas to 11-4 on the season and 0-2 in Big 12 play.

…Gives Nebraska its fifth straight win against Kansas.

…Gives Kansas its longest losing streak of the season at two games.

…Makes KU 648-451 all-time.

Notes

–Nebraska was 11-for-13 from the free throw line for the first half. KU did not attempt a free throw in the opening stanza.

–Sophomore Danielle McCray scored 14 points and recorded her 500th career point. She currently has 505 career points.

–McCray was 2-for-2 from three-point range. In her last three games, McCray is 7-for-14 from beyond the arc.

–Freshman Nicollette Smith has made at least one three-pointer in four straight games and 11 games this season.

— Nicollette Smith ended the game with nine points, her most since scoring 13 against Saint Louis on Dec. 2, nine games prior.

–Sophomore Sade Morris scored 11 points to mark her second straight and 11th game of scoring in double figures this season.

–Senior Taylor McIntosh pulled down eight rebounds. She had pulled down six or more rebounds in each of her last three games and 12 times this season.

–McIntosh started her 51st consecutive game for KU today.

–Sophomore guard LaChelda Jacobs scored seven points and pulled down six rebounds. The six boards were one shy of her career high.

–Junior forward/center Marija Zinic played in her third game of the season and played a season-high six minutes.

–Kansas used the starting lineup of Ivana Catic, Krysten Boogaard, Danielle McCray, Taylor McIntosh and Sade Morris for the third straight game.

–Today marked second straight and the fourth time this season KU has been trailing at halftime this season.

–Kansas has held its opponent to under 100 points in 382 straight games.
