Postgame Notes

Kansas’ loss to Oklahoma…

… Makes Kansas 12-8 overall and 1-6 in Big 12 play.

… Makes Kansas 27-24 all-time against Oklahoma and 9-13 in games played in Norman.

… Makes KU head coach Bonnie Henrickson 210-119 overall, 52-57 at Kansas and 0-4 all-time versus Oklahoma.

Game Notes…

— Senior Jamie Boyd made her first start of the year against Oklahoma and third of her career.

— Prior to the Oklahoma contest, senior Taylor McIntosh had started 58 straight games and 106 of the 109 games in her career.

— McIntosh grabbed three steals, her most since playing Marquette on Dec. 6 when she stole four balls.

— Freshman Krysten Boogaard jumped center for the first time this season and is only the second different Jayhawk to take the tip off. McIntosh had jumped all 19 contests prior to Oklahoma.

— Boogaard scored 11 points against Oklahoma in her sixth contest with double digit points.

— Boogard also pulled down a career-best seven defensive rebounds and added a career-high four blocks.

— Sophomore Danielle McCray recorded her fourth straight game with double digit points as she finished with 13 at OU and has scored in double figures 15 times this year.

— Sade Morris was 1-for-2 from the charity stripe marking her first miss from the free throw line this year in conference play.

–Freshman Chakeitha Weldon scored a career-high 10 points against Oklahoma for her first points in Big 12 play as well as her first buckets since Creighton on Nov. 27 (14 games ago).

— Weldon also had career-bests in minutes (19), assists (3), rebounds (2) and baskets made (4).

— Freshman Nicollette Smith hit two treys at OU and has made at least one three in 16 games this season and 11 contests with two or more three-pointers including four straight.

— Kansas stole 10 balls at OU, its sixth outing this season with double digit steals.

— The Jayhawks had a season-high eight blocked shots against the Sooners.

— KU, who averages 9.0 assists per game in Big 12 play, dished out 13 dimes at OU.

— Kansas helped force 25 OU turnovers, one shy of the opponent high.

— Oklahoma is the second consecutive ranked team the Jayhawks have faced and third in the last five contests.
