Football in February Adds Two Events

LAWRENCE, Kan. — In addition to this week’s Football in February events in Lawrence and Kansas City, Kansas Athletics and Head Football Coach Turner Gill have added two additional events in Topeka (Feb. 8) and Wichita (Feb. 15).
The events will showcase KU’s 2010 football recruiting class and give fans an opportunity to meet the new head coach.
On Monday, February 8, fans can gather at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka (1717 SW Topeka Blvd).
On the following Monday, February 15, fans can meet Gill and preview the 2010 Jayhawks at the Wichita Marriott Hotel in Wichita (9100 Corporate Hills Dr.).
The Topeka and Wichita events follow two events this week.
At the National Signing Day Event on Wednesday, Feb. 3, fans can gather at the new Oread Hotel (12th Street between Indiana and Louisiana Streets) adjacent to the KU campus.
On Thursday, February 4, fans can meet Gill and preview the 2010 Jayhawks at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center.
All events are free and open to the public and will run from 6-7:30 p.m. Each night will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Gill will address the crowd, meet and mingle with fans and show highlights of the incoming Jayhawks.
