LAWRENCE, KAN. –

Junior Brandon Hermreck has joined the Kansas men’s golf team for the spring season after spending the first two years of his collegiate career at Wichita State. The Leawood, Kan. native will try to add some experience to the youthful Jayhawks.

“We are very excited to have Brandon join the program,” said head coach Kit Grove. “We hope that he can help us immediately during the spring.”

Hermreck brings impressive collegiate and prep credentials with him. At Wichita State, Hermreck competed in the 2006 NCAA East Regional. He also posted an impressive scoring average of 73.40 during his sophomore campaign.

Hermreck attended Blue Valley High School and was a four-year letterwinner in golf. He won the state golf title as a senior by 14 strokes, leading his team to their first ever men’s golf state championship.
