Softball Season Tickets Now On Sale

A home series against perennial power <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Texas highlights Kansas Softball’s 23-game, 16-date 2008 home schedule. Kansas Athletics announced today that General Admission season-ticket packages for softball are $40; KU Faculty and Staff packages are $32.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Kansas will play four home Big 12 Conference series – against #24 Texas, Texas Tech, OklahomaState and IowaState.

Members of the Williams Educational Fund who purchase season tickets will receive two (2) priority points per account regardless of the number of tickets purchased.

“We feel like our overall level of talent is up and we have more depth than we have had the last couple of years,” said 12th-year head coach Tracy Bunge. “We are excited about the chemistry and how hungry the girls have been in the off-season. There are a lot of positives going into 2008. All of the work and experience from last year is invaluable because this year’s team is really going to benefit from it.”

KU will open the home season by hosting the Jayhawk Classic beginning on Saturday, March 8. The first pitch is set for 3 p.m., with the Jayhawks facing IndianaState. Fans will receive free caramel corn when KU scores its first run of the season.
