Game Notes

–Today’s game marked the third-annual Jayhawks for a Cure “Pink Zone” game in which Kansas Athletics donates $1 to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the KU Cancer Center for every fan in attendance.

–The Jayhawks’ eight blocks are season high. Freshman forward Carolyn Davis led the team with four, sophomore forward Aishah Sutherland had two and senior guard LaChelda Jacobs and junior center Krysten Boogaard added one apiece.

–Kansas’ bench scored 13 points to Kansas State’s five.

–The crowd of 7,580 was the most in Allen Fieldhouse for a women’s game this season.

— Jacobs recorded a season-high 10 points. Her previous high was four versus Colorado on January 27, 2010.

–Davis’ four blocks marked a career high. Her previous high was one block on five different occasions, with the most recent being at Missouri on January 30, 2010.

–Davis registered 14 points and 10 rebounds marking the second double-double of her career. She has scored in double digits the last five-of-six games.

–In her first career start, freshman guard Monica Engelman scored a career-high 16 points on six-of-nine shooting.

–Senior guard Sade Morris scored nine points, tying her for 16th place with Lisa Dougherty (1985-88) on the all-time scoring list.
