Jayhawks to Face Wildcats on Fox Sports Net

Feb. 9, 2009

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The Big 12 Conference announced its 2009 college baseball television schedule on cable station Fox Sports Net earlier this week. Six games will be included in this package, including the Kansas-Kansas State game to be played at Hoglund Ballpark on Sunday, May 17 at 6 p.m.

The television appearance marks the third straight year that a national television audience will be welcomed to Hoglund Ballpark, and the fourth time in five years. In 2005, ESPNU broadcast games between Texas and Kansas, while FSN has made appearances in Lawrence during both the 2007 (vs. Kansas State) and 2008 (vs. Texas Tech) seasons.

FSN’s national coverage of Big 12 baseball will begin on April 5, with the Texas-Oklahoma State game in Stillwater, Okla. Other games on the schedule include Baylor at Oklahoma State (April 18), Oklahoma at Baylor (April 25), Texas A&M at Texas (May 9) and the Big 12 Championship game (May 24).

Additional television appearances are possible through other Big 12 broadcast partners and institutional contacts and will be announced at a later time.
