Jayhawk Tennis Drops Dual to DePaul, 7-0

IOWA CITY, Iowa –

The Jayhawk tennis team fell to the No. 41 DePaul Blue Demons, 7-0, in Iowa City, Iowa Saturday afternoon.

The loss dropped KU to 4-2 on the season and improved DePaul’s record to 9-2.

Each of the Jayhawks’ doubles tandems fell, giving DePaul the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead in the match. Playing at the No. 1 singles position for the first time this season, Edina Horvath played Dunja Antunovic to two tie-breaks before falling, 7-6 (5) and 7-5 (2). The Blue Demons swept the remaining singles matches as well on the way to the 7-0 victory.

Kansas will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in an 11 a.m. dual at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center on Sunday.
