KU's 2006-07 Baseball Recruiting Class, Recruits Recognized

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

KU’s 2006-07 baseball recruiting class was recently ranked the 24th-best in the nation by StudentSportsBaseball.com. The Jayhawks 10 member class was one of four Big 12 teams to make the top 25.

Additionally, to the top 25 ranking, two future Jayhawks have also recently been recognized. Pitcher Aaron Breit of Garden City Community College was ranked the seventh best junior college prospect in the upcoming MLB Amateur Draft by Baseball America. Breit went 11-1 with a 2.50 ERA and 77 strikeouts last season for the Broncbusters.

Lawrence Free State infielder Robbie Price was named a Louisville Slugger First Team High School Preseason All-American. Price hit .485 as a junior and has helped lead the Firebirds to three consecutive Sunflower League titles.
