Kansas Junior Russell Robinson to Miss Iowa State Game

Feb. 22, 2007

Kansas head coach Bill Self announced Thursday that junior guard Russell Robinson will miss the Iowa State game. Self explained the injury as Robinson “sprained the bottom foot, which it is similar to turf toe.” Robinson, a 6-1 guard from New York, has started the last 33 games for Kansas and 60 of the last 61. A Bob Cousy Award finalist for 2007, Robinson is averaging 6.6 points and a team high 4.7 assists per game. Self informed the media that freshman Sherron Collins will receive his second start of the season in place of Robinson.
