Dates Set for KU Football Coaches Clinic

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Dates have been set for the University of Kansas spring football coaches clinic which will be held April 7-8 on the KU campus. Several Jayhawk coaches and special guest speaker Craig Schurig, who guided Washburn University to the 2005 MIAA football championship, will be featured speakers at the event.

Registration for the clinic begins at 2:30 p.m. on April 7. After registration, all coaches in attendance will be given access to KU’s practice that afternoon. Following dinner at the Burge Union, KU head coach Mark Mangino, KU defensive coordinator Bill Young and Schurig will all address the group.

Day two speakers include KU offensive line coach/run-game coordinator John Reagan, KU co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach Clint Bowen, KU offensive coordinator Nick Quartaro and KU strength and conditioning coach Chris Dawson. Coaches at the clinic will be invited to attend KU’s intrasquad scrimmage which begins at 12:30 p.m.

The Jayhawks will play seven home games in Memorial Stadium in 2006. Public season tickets are $225. Faculty-staff season tickets are $180 and recent graduate packages are $150 (2004-06 graduation date). Family-Zone packages are also available for $300. The Family-Zone, located in the North Bowl, includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets.
