Tennis to Open Conference Play Against Texas Tech

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas tennis team will open its Big 12 Conference season on Sunday, March 5, when it takes on Texas Tech in Lawrence. Match time is slated for 10 a.m.

Kansas (5-2) has won five of six matches, including its most recent over then-No. 72 Tulsa. Following the victory over the Golden Hurricane, the Jayhawks moved up three spots to No. 72 in the latest FILA/ITA National Rankings.

Texas Tech comes in ranked 66th in the nation with a record of 6-4, including 1-1 in Big 12 play. The Red Raiders most recently recorded a win over Colorado State.
