Jayhawks Tied for 10th at Day One of Betsy Rawls Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Kansas women’s golf team finished the first day of the Betsy Rawls Invitational tied for 10th place. The Jayhawks shot an opening round 317, finishing at 29 over par.

Leading KU was junior Amanda Costner, who’s opening round of 74 was good for a share of fourth place. Kansas’ Annie Giangrosso and Meredith Winkelmann both finished with a score of 80, and are currently tied for 44th place. Senior Chelsey Pryor is tied for 68th after a round of 83, and sophomore Sarah Kierl shot a 97, good for 83rd place.

Texas A&M sits atop the leaderboard after a first round 298, followed by Duke, which finished with a 302. The Aggies’ Christa Spedding leads the field after recording a 2-under 70.
