Clark Helps Kansas Finish 11th at Northern Migration Invitational

FLORENCE, Ariz. – Jennifer Clark shot a team-best 77 in the final round of the Northern Migration Invitational as the Jayhawks finished 11th Wednesday. Kansas’ third round of 322 brought its total to 929.

The University of Texas-San Antonio took the tournament title with a final score of 895. Close behind was Idaho with a score of 896. Both teams fired a 301 in the final round.

Clark finished the event tied for 70th with a three-day total of 240. Meghna Bal led the Jayhawks as she tied for 29th after firing an 80 for a final score of 231. Emily Powers carded an 83 to bring her total to 235 and tied for 47th. Grace Thiry added an 86 to her final for a 236, which tied her for 50th. Meghan Gockel closed out the tournament with an 82 in the final round as she tied for 61st.

Kayla Mortellaro led the event all three days and took home individualist honors after shooting a 73 in the third round. Her final score was five-under par 211.

Kansas next travels to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate April 2-4.
