KU Signee Mosley Named Co-MVP In National Title Game

SALINA, Kan. — Point guard Shaquina Mosley, who has signed to play for the University of Kansas women’s basketball team for the 2005-06 season, was named Co-MVP as she helped lead Central Arizona College to victory in the NJCAA Women’s Championship game on Friday, March 26, at the Bicentennial Center in Salina, Kan.

Central Arizona (35-1) led from start to finish to defeat the College of Southern Idaho 83-50 to capture the title. Southern Idaho was the No. 1 seed entering the tournament.

Mosley scored 18 points and dished 10 assists to go with four steals and a blocked shot. She shot 61.5 percent on 8-of-13 from the field. She shared the MVP award with her teammate Aisha Mohammed. The award comes after Mosley was named the State Farm/WBCA Junior College/Community College (JC/CC) Player of the Year last week.
