NOTES

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas tennis team will look to extend its four match winning streak this weekend when it hosts Big 12 Conference rivals Oklahoma and Iowa State.

The Jayhawks (9-6, 0-3) are coming of their best stretch of the season, winning their previous four contests, three of which came by sweeping their opponent. The strong play earned KU its highest ranking of the season in the latest ITA poll at No. 62 — up 12 spots from its former mark of 74th.

Oklahoma enters the dual with a record of 6-9, including a 1-3 mark in league play. After opening the conference season with a win over Missouri, the Sooners have dropped their last three Big 12 contests.

Iowa State comes in at 3-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference. Their match with Kansas marks the second in a stretch of four straight road dates for the Cyclones.

Kansas owns a 29-1 all-time lead over Iowa State and has won 26 straight in the series. The Jayhawks are 17-12 against Oklahoma, including a 4-3 triumph over the Sooners last season.

KU is schedule to play Oklahoma on Saturday at 11 a.m., and then Iowa State at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Both matches will be played at Robinson Courts unless the weather should become a problem
