Kansas Golf Heads to Oklahoma for Susie Maxwell Berning Classic
April 2, 2009
NORMAN, Okla. – Kansas women’s golf heads to Big 12 country April 5-6 to compete in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, hosted by the University of Oklahoma. The two-day event is being held at the par-72, 6,013-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course.
The team looks to get back on track after finishing in 18th place last weekend at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Georgia. Four weeks ago the Jayhawks took home the title at the Duramed Collegiate Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
The Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course served as the site of the 1998 Big 12 Women’s Championship and is set to host the 2009 U.S. Amateur public Links Championship this summer.
