Boonraksasat, Nugent Help Kansas into Top 10 Following Second Round of Ole Miss Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY, Miss.—Freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat and junior Katy Nugent helped the Kansas women’s golf team move into ninth place after the second round of the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate in University, Miss., on Saturday.
Boonraksasat fired a 73 for the second straight day giving her a 146 through two rounds and moved her into a tie for tenth place. Nugent rebounded from a tough first round by shooting a 74 and moving from tied for 60th to tied for 36th.
Seniors Meghna Bal and Grace Thiry are tired for 66th. Thiry improved on her first day 80 by firing a 78 in the second round. Bal shot an 81 in the second round after shooting a 77 in the first.
Freshman Meghan Potee is tied for 79th with a 36-hole score of 161.
The Jayhawks will wrap the final round on Sunday.
