KU Baseball Ranked 24th by Baseball America

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

For the third time this season the University of Kansas earned a national ranking in the Baseball America poll. Fresh off a 3-1 week that saw KU defeat No. 13 Wichita State and take two of three games from No. 29 Missouri, the Jayhawks garnered a 24th ranking by the baseball publication.

Playing one of the toughest schedules in the country, the Jayhawks improved to 20-11 overall and 4-5 in the Big 12 after winning three of four games this past week. Of the teams ranked in this week’s Baseball America poll, Kansas has played the most games against top 25 teams. The Jayhawks are 6-9 in 15 games against top 25 foes.

Kansas will travel to Wichita, Kan., for a mid-week rematch with the Wichita State Shockers on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. KU will then return to Lawrence to host Texas Tech in a three game Big 12 series. First pitch at Hoglund Ballpark on Friday, April 7 is slated for 6 p.m.
