Interested in Volunteering at the 80th Anniversary of the Kansas Relays?

April 3, 2007

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

That’s right folks, the time has come once again for the University of Kansas and the Kansas Relays to be one of the focal points of the Track and Field Universe. This year the Kansas Relays, which run from April 18-21, welcome back the heptathlon and decathlon, meaning that there will be four days of Kansas Relays excitment and an even larger pool of athletes competing. And we need your help!

As the field of competitors grows each year, so does the demand for volunteers to help the fourth-largest track and field meet in the country to run smoothly. Volunteers will be asked to help in a variety of areas, from staging the athletes before events to helping run results and other invaluable jobs that the Kansas Relays couldn’t function without being performed.

Volunteers will receive a complimentary Kansas Relays T-shirt for their efforts. If you are interested in helping and becoming a part of a truly historic Kansas tradition, please click here and fill out the form.

There is also a paper form that you can fill out and mail into the Kansas Relays department. That page is located here. Your help is truly appreciated as we look to take the Kansas Relays to new horizons in the future.

If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Luman at dluman@ku.edu. The Kansas Relays looks foward to working with you in the 80th Anniversary of this historic event.
