LAWRENCE, Kan. The University of Kansas football team and Head Coach Mark Mangino invite all Jayhawk fans to the 2007 Spring Scrimmage to be held Sunday, April 15, at 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Stadium. The scrimmage, which is free to the public, highlights a weekend chock full of activities. The first 5,000 people entering the stadium will receive a free KU Football T-shirt. Gates open at 2:30 p.m.

Prior to the scrimmage, the KU Alumni Association and Kansas Athletics will host a hotdog tailgate. Alumni Association members and Williams Educational Fund members are invited to join former football players on `the Hill’ for this exclusive tailgate. The tent opens at 2 p.m. and will be available to the first 300 people. Alumni Association members will be admitted with a current membership card. WEF members may check in at the entrance. In addition, a television crew from Fox Sports Net will be on hand filming the scrimmage to produce a 30-minute Spring Game special, which will be aired on FSN several times throughout the summer.

Eight games highlight the 2007 season-ticket package, including seven games in Lawrence and the annual Border Showdown against Missouri, to be played this season in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium. Season tickets are $275. The Family Plan, which includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets, costs just $350. Fans can purchase their 2007 tickets at the west side ticket booth at the Spring Scrimmage, online at www.kuathletics.com or by contacting the ticket office at 800-34-HAWKS.

Spring Scrimmage Essentials

Stadium Entry

The west side of the stadium will be open for seating. Fans are asked to enter at Gate C on the southeast side of Memorial Stadium and walk around the south track surface to the stands on the southwest side of the stadium.

Parking

Parking is FREE for the Spring Game. All lots on the east side of the Memorial Stadium (Lot #’s 91, 92, 93, and 94) will be open for parking. On the West side, Lot #’s 50, 55, 58 and 59 will be available for parking. However, due to construction of the Anderson Family Football Complex at Kivisto Field, lot #55 will be accessible via a temporary gravel road through Lot #59. Lot #58 will also have construction equipment in the North end. For easiest access, fans are encouraged to park on the east side of the stadium.

Tailgating

Tailgating will begin two hours prior to the start of the spring game at 1:30 p.m. Kansas Athletics and the KU Alumni Association will be hosting an exclusive tailgate tent on Campanile Hill for members of the Alumni Association and Williams Fund. The tent opens at 2 p.m. and free hot dogs will be available for the first 300 people. Alumni members will be admitted with a current membership card and WEF members can check-in at the tent entrance.

Family Fun Zone

The Family Fun Zone will open at 1:30 p.m. Located just SE of Memorial Stadium, the Family Fun Zone features interactive inflatable games including the Jayhawk Obstacle Course, Bounce house, Velcro wall and the Adrenaline Rush and Equalizer!

Giveaways

The first 5000 fans will receive a commemorative 2007 KU Football t-shirt. In addition, football schedule cards and team rosters will be available. At halftime, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a 2007 family plan!

Concessions

Concession stands on the west side of Memorial Stadium will be open.

Season Tickets on Sale

2007 Kansas Football season tickets will be on sale at the Spring Game at the west side ticket booth. Season tickets are $275 while the Family Plan, which includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets, is just $350. All season ticket packages include the Missouri game and KU ticket holders will receive first priority in seat locations at Arrowhead Stadium.
