Kansas Relays Meet Director to Appear on Sports Spot

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas Relays Meet Director Tim Weaver will appear this Friday, April 14th, on Kansas City’s channel 38 Sports Spot. He will discuss the impact of GOLDZONE II on the regional sports scene and the appearances by Kansas City Olympians Maurice Greene and Muna Lee, Olympic Champions Justin Gatlin and Shawn Crawford and sprint sensation Allyson Felix. Weaver recently stated his goal of breaking the all-time attendance record of 30,000 for the event, now in its 79th year. Sports Spot airs at 7 p.m. on channel 38 The Spot.

A sister station of NBC Action News, 38 The Spot airs a multitude of sports programming including a portion of the Royals games, Big 12 basketball and coaches specials. 38 The Spot programming can be found over the air on channel 38, Time Warner system channel 8, Direct TV channel 38, Comcast Kansas channel 2, Comcast Missouri channel 5, Dish Network channel 38 and Everest channel 8.
