Kansas Midweek Game at Nebraska Canceled

April 16, 2013

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Impending weather in Wednesday’s forecast prompted the cancellation of Kansas softball’s midweek game at No. 21/18 Nebraska.

Originally scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Bowlin Field in Lincoln, Neb., this was to be the first meeting between Kansas (26-11) and Nebraska (30-9) since the Huskers joined the Big Ten Conference at the conclusion of the 2011 season.

Thanks to the weather, the Jayhawks have yet to play a midweek game this season as the Missouri State doubleheader was called off due to snow on March 21.

Kansas gets back to Big 12 Conference play this weekend when the Jayhawks travel to Stillwater, Okla., for a crucial three-game series at Oklahoma State. First pitch times for the Friday-Saturday-Sunday series are 5:30 p.m., noon and noon.
