Tickets for Kansas-Missouri Showdown at Kauffman Stadium Now Available

The <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Kansas City Royals have announced ticket prices for the April 29 non-conference contest between Kansas and Missouri at Kauffman Stadium. Fans can purchase general admission seating in the Lower Bowl of the stadium for $10, while Kids’ (ages 6-18) tickets are just $5. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

The Jayhawks and Tigers will meet in a non-conference game at the home park of the Kansas City Royals at 7 p.m. on April 29 in the first of four meetings during the 2008 season. The Border Showdown rivals have met 312 times on the baseball diamond, dating back to 1894, making it one of the oldest rivalries in all of college baseball.

Kauffman Stadium is one of the most picturesque ballparks in the major leagues. Opened in 1973, the stadium has been home to the Kansas City Royals for 35 seasons. A massive $250 million dollar renovation project is currently underway. This project, which will make Kauffman Stadium one of the most fan-friendly venues in all of sport, will be completed prior to the 2010 season.
