Kansas Finishes 11th At Big 12 Championship

LINCOLN, Neb. –

The University of Kansas women’s golf team finished in 11th place at the Big 12 Women’s Championship on Wednesday. The Jayhawks shot a final round of 321 (955 total) at the par-72 6,167 yard Country Club of Lincoln.

Texas A&M moved up one spot to grab the team title with an 899 total, followed by Oklahoma State with a 910.

Junior Amanda Costner carded a third round 74 to move up and tie for 14th with a 231. Senior Chelsey Pryor shot an 80 in the final round and tied for 30th with a 236. Sophomore Annie Giangrosso tied for 46th after an 82 gave her a 242. Senior Meredith Winkelmann finished in a tie for 53rd with a 252 after a third round 85. Sophomore Sarah Kierl placed in 58th after a final round of 91 gave her a 257.

That concludes the regular season for Kansas. The team will now await an announcement on a regional berth, which runs May 11-13.
