Graves, who played both forward and midfield during the 2006 season, scored KU’s second goal of the first half and then completed the three-goal effort early in the second half.

“It was a really a good game to end on,” head coach Mark Francis said. “(Nebraska-Omaha) is one of the top Division II programs in the country, so I thought they would give us good competition. We played really well and created a lot of chances for our forwards.”

Dolinsky gave KU an early lead with her third goal of the spring, while freshman Jackie Lewis capped the five-goal outburst with her first of the exhibition season.

“Overall, I thought we got a lot better over the last three or four weeks of the spring,” Francis said. “One of the things we worked a lot on this spring was creating chances and finishing them. I thought we made huge strides in that area. I’m looking forward to the regular season.”

Kansas will open its 2007 campaign on Aug. 31 at the University of Hawaii. The Jayhawks will feature nine returning starters from last year’s squad, which finished 11-7-1.
