LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Due to schedule conflicts, the University of Kansas softball game versus UMKC on Tuesday, May 10 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. With the cancellation, the Jayhawks have now finished their 2011 regular season and will await their post-season fate. The NCAA Softball Tournament selection show airs live on Sunday, May 15 at 9 p.m. CST on ESPNU.

Aside from getting off to its best start in program history, Kansas won six of its seven pre-conference tournaments and upset two top 25 foes throughout the season. The Jayhawks received votes in at least one of the major softball polls for a six-week span and set a school record with 60 home runs en route to compiling a 31-22 overall record.
