Kansas Men's Basketball Season Tickets on Sale NOW

May 9, 2013

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Season tickets for the 2013-14 Kansas men’s basketball season went on sale online Thursday, May 9, at 9 a.m. Applications are being mailed this week to Williams Education Fund donors and season ticket holders.

The deadline to order season tickets is July 19.

As usual, season ticket holders can take advantage of a deferred payment plan. Those who take advantage of this payment option owe just 10 percent of their total at the time of order. The remaining balance is due in equal monthly payments, with full payment due October 15, 2013.

All season ticket holders must be active members of the 2013 Williams Education Fund Drive. A minimum pledge of $100 by July 19 is required to become an active member. Many donors are already active as they pledged in April when they ordered football season tickets.

Actual seat locations will be determined through Select-A-Seat. To participate in Select-A-Seat, ticket orders must be received by July 19. Fans choose their seats based on their Priority Point total. Select-A-Seat will be held at KU August 12-16. If available, mini-packs will be released at a later date.

The SALY (Same As Last Year) seating option is now available for donors at the 2013 All-American ($10,000) membership level and above, provided they did not decrease their membership level from last year (2012-13). Those donors may keep their previous basketball season ticket location or go through the Select-A-Seat process.

For the first time in five seasons, season-ticket prices have increased. The price for Tier 1 season tickets is $1,600 (up from $1,255). Tier 2 seats will cost $1,225 (from $1,155), and Tier 3 is $925 (from $855).

The Jayhawks are coming off their ninth-consecutive Big 12 regular-season championship. In 10 seasons at KU, Head Coach Bill Self has taken the Jayhawks to seven Sweet 16 appearances, five Elite 8 appearances, two Final Fours and the 2008 National Championship. KU has won 300 games under Self, including 31 or more in the last four seasons. Self’s KU teams have appeared in 10 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, each time with a seed of four or better. KU’s streak of 24 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances is the nation’s longest.
