KU the No. 6 Seed in 2005 Big 12 Tournament

OKLAHOMA CITY –
With its sweep of Iowa State to end the regular season, Kansas finished sixth in the Big 12 Conference and will be the No. 6 seed in the 2005 Big 12 Softball Tournament in Oklahoma City, May 11-14. The Jayhawks (30-20, 9-8 Big 12) will face No. 3 seed Texas (38-11, 11-6) Thursday at 11 a.m. at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium to begin double-elimination play.
With a win against the Longhorns, KU will play the Game 4 winner at 7 p.m. Thursday. Should the Jayhawks lose to UT, they will face the Game 4 loser immediately following the contest.
Sunday’s victory over the Cyclones also marked KU’s 21st 30-win season in program history and seventh under head coach Tracy Bunge since her arrival in 1997. The Jayhawks’ 9-8 league finished marked the best since the 2001 season when KU went 10-8.
