Leading Off
Kansas will conclude its regular season with a home Big 12 series against Texas A&M. The first game of the series will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19, with game two set for 6 p.m on May 20. Sunday’s season finale will start at 1 p.m. and will include senior day ceremonies.

Up Next
KU will be making its second straight appearance in the Big 12 Championship next week at Brickyard Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Okla. The championship field has yet to be announced but all teams will be guaranteed three games. KU will play at a to be determined time on Wednesday, May 24. The Jayhawks will then play one game either Thursday, May 25 or Friday, May 26 and again on Saturday, May 27. The winner of each pool will play in a championship game on Sunday, May 28, at 1 p.m. on Fox Sports Net.

A Look at Texas A&M
The Aggies enter the final weekend of the regular season in ninth place in the Big 12, but still hold a chance at making next week’s Big 12 Championship. Texas A&M will make the Championship if it sweeps the series with Kansas and Texas sweeps Missouri. A&M helped its postseason chances with two wins and a tie against K-State last weekend.

Senior Success
Before Sunday’s season finale, KU will honor its eight seniors: Matt Baty, Don Czyz, Ricky Fairchild, Gus Milner, Ritchie Price, Kodiak Quick, Trey Randa and Jared Schweitzer will be playing their last game at Hoglund Ballpark. The senior class has led KU to an unprecedented fourth-straight 30-plus win seasons and will leave Kansas with the most wins of any senior class in program history.

Hitting the Books
Kansas placed four players on the Academic All-Big 12 baseball team as announced by the league office on May 16. Senior Trey Randa and junior Ryotaro Hayakawa earned All-Big 12 First Team accolades while sophomores Erik Morrison and Brock Simpson were placed on the Second Team.

-Senior Jared Schweitzer leads the team with 25 multi-hit games this year.

-Senior RHP Kodiak Quick is a perfect 5-0 with a 2.73 ERA at Hoglund Ballpark this season.
