Ex-KU Golfer Gary Woodland Has Started Strong On The PGA Tour This Year

Former Kansas golfer Gary Woodland is off to a great start on his 2011 PGA Tour season. In 12 events, Woodland has made eight cuts, posted one victory, one runner-up finish, four top-10 and six top-25 finishes.

He owns a 70.19 scoring average and ranks ninth in the FedEx Cup standings and 11th on the money list with $2,047,660.

The long-hitting Topeka native ranks sixth on the tour in driving distance at 301.9 yards. He is also 10th in both greens in regulation (70.37 percent) and birdie average per round (4.31).
