Kansas Senior Amanda Costner Finishes Tied for 22nd at Duramed FUTURES Tour Event

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas senior Amanda Costner tied for 22nd at the Duramed FUTURES Tour’s Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship last weekend at the Leawood South Country Club in Kansas City.

Costner, who won the 2007 Big 12 individual title, was the low amateur in the event posting a three-round total of 227. The Claremore, Okla., native shot rounds of 76-75-76 to finish tied with seven other golfers. Costner competed as an amateur in the event as the others tied with her took home $691 for placing 22nd.

By making the cut – top 70 of 114 golfers after two rounds – Costner had to miss KU’s formal graduation Sunday afternoon. Costner will graduate with a degree in applied behavioral science this August.
