Kansas City, Mo. –

The Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League have signed former Kansas catcher Dylan Parzyk. Parzyk just completed his college eligibility on Sunday.

Parzyk, who played at KU the last two seasons, hit .283 this season with a homer and four RBIs this season in 32 games behind the plate. The senior spent his first two college seasons at Palomar Junior College.

“With the injury to Jeremy McIntyre, we were looking for a guy to come in on short notice,” said T-Bones manager Andy McCauley. “We were lucky that he (Parzyk) just finished up at KU and we’re hoping he’ll be with the club the rest of the year.”

Parzyk will fill the roster spot vacated by Jeremy McIntyre who was placed on the inactive list today as a result of a separated shoulder he suffered in a collision at home plate last night. McIntyre will be required to remain on the inactive list for a league mandated minimum of 30 days. Last night was McIntyre’s first start of his professional career.
