Rock Chalk Roundball Classic to be Held Thursday, June 17 at Free State H.S.

June 16, 2010

The Rock Chalk Roundball Classic returns Thursday, June 17th to Lawrence Free State High School at 7 p.m. This benefit basketball game will raise money for two Lawrence families currently fighting cancer. Last year, the event raised almost $14,000 for the Brandon White Memorial.

Former Kansas greats like Mario Chalmers, Darnell Jackson, Russell Robinson and Scot Pollard will be playing in the game and fans will have a chance to win game-used, autographed jerseys of each player. There will also be photo and autograph opportunities after the game.

The game also features celebrity coaches from previous generations of Jayhawk basketball stars.

Fans can purchase tickets in advance at the Great Plains Media studios on west 6th Street, the 23rd Street Brewery, Signs of Life, St. John’s Catholic Church, Heartland Community Church and Lawrence First Church of the Nazarene.
