Hagan Talks About Camp and Upcoming Season

The annual Jayhawk summer volleyball camps are underway this week at the University of Kansas. Over 100 girls are participating in the skills camp, which runs from July 11-14 on KU’s campus.

The emphasis of the individual skills camp is to teach and develop the fundamental techniques of volleyball, as well as game strategies. Basic skills are stressed in drills, while team play is incorporated to teach how all the fundamentals fit in the game.

“Camp is going really well,” said junior outside hitter Lauren Hagan, who is helping out at the camp. “The campers are really trying hard. They want to get better. The best part is competing. The girls like to get really loud and have a lot of fun with it.”
