July 14, 2005

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. –

University of Kansas senior golfer Chelsey Pryor was named to the National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Team on Wednesday, July 13.

A total of 199 women’s collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. This marks the second time Pryor, who is majoring in communications studies, has been awarded this honor. She was also a named to the team in 2004.

The Washington, Pa., native was second on the team this year with a 78.59 stroke average. She also fired a career-low 69 at the Dick McGuire Invitational last September.
