The Kansas Athletic department has announced that single game tickets for the 2010 football season will go on sale to the general public on Monday, Aug. 16.

Similar to season ticket pricing, Kansas Athletics offers three-tiered pricing for single game tickets. Single game tickets range from $35-65 for the contests against North Dakota State (Sept. 4) and New Mexico State (Sept. 25). Fans can buy tickets for the Georgia Tech game (Sept. 11) for $45-80. While tickets to Big 12 contests against Texas A&M (Oct. 23), Colorado (Nov. 6) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 20) are $50-90. The Dillion’s Sunflower Showdown against Kansas State on Oct. 14 will feature tickets for $90-100.

Due to the high demand for season tickets, a limited number of single-game tickets are available at the Tier 1 and Tier 3 levels.

A Memorial Stadium seating chart highlighting the tiered seating can be found at www.kuathletics.com.

In addition, Kansas Athletics has announced ticket packages and promotions, which also go on sale Monday:

Saturdays in September Four-Packs (Tier 2 Reserved Seating): Fans can purchase four Tier 2 tickets to the North Dakota State and New Mexico State home games for just $160 (a savings of $80). For the September 11 game against Georgia Tech fans can purchase a four-pack for $200 (a savings of $80).

General Admission Family Four-Pack: For just $99, fans can receive two adult and two youth general admission tickets (located in section 12-16) for any home game. This is the first time Kansas Athletics has offered a single-game package in the Family Zone.

“Our Family Zone has been a very popular area the last several years,” said Kansas Director of Athletics Lew Perkins, “But we have heard from families that it is difficult to attend all home games and keep up with their children’s busy schedules. These packages afford families the flexibility of cheering on the Jayhawks while still keeping other commitments.”

Fans can also purchase the Family Plan season package for $499. The season package includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets for all seven home games.

Big 12 Pack: A new mini-plan. For just $199 fans can receive a ticket to all four Big 12 home games. Earlier this year, Kansas Athletics introduced the Rock and Chalk Mini Plans for just $175. The Rock package includes Georgia Tech, New Mexico State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. The Chalk Package included North Dakota State, Kansas State, Texas A&M, and Colorado. All three mini-plan packages include the Kansas State game.

Fans can still purchase season tickets at all three price levels—Tier 3 ($199), Tier 2 ($299) and Tier 1 ($350). A limited amount of tickets remain at the Tier 1 and 3 levels.

Kansas opens the season September 4 versus North Dakota State. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
