Williams helped the Jayhawks to their second-consecutive undefeated weekend last Friday and Sunday. The Albuquerque, N.M., native notched her first two-goal match and added an assist in a 3-0 win over the Creighton Bluejays Friday. Williams kicked in her third goal of the weekend in the fourth minute against Arizona State, where the Jayhawks would go on to play to a 2-2 draw. She added five points this weekend giving her 11 on the season, which ranks first in the Big 12. Her five goals in 2012 also lead the Big 12.

Williams becomes just the third Big 12 student-athlete to earn both the Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Week honor in the same week. The feat was last accomplished in 2009. It also marks the first time a Jayhawk has earned two conference honors in one week.

Kansas soccer is back in action this weekend, Sept. 7-9, when is hosts Missouri State and North Carolina State at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex. KU will kick off against the Bears Friday night at 5 p.m., before taking on the Wolfpack Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m.
