Kansas Football Ranked In Associated Press and USA Today Polls

LAWRENCE, Kan. – With its season-opening win against Northern Colorado, the Kansas football team found itself ranked in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls for week two.

Kansas, which was 25th in the AP preseason poll, moved up one spot to 24th. The coaches moved the Jayhawks up one spot as well, to 25th in their listings as the Jayhawks were the top team receiving votes in the preseason poll.

Six Big 12 teams are in this week’s AP poll with five in the coaches’ listings and eight total at least receiving votes.

Texas leads the conference as the Longhorns are ranked second in both polls. Oklahoma State is fifth in the AP and sixth in the USA Today, while Oklahoma is 13th and 14th, Nebraska 22nd and 18th, Kansas 24th and 25th and Missouri 25th and receiving votes. Texas Tech and Baylor are also receiving votes in both polls.
