KU Tennis Team Recognized for Academic Achievement

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Kansas tennis team was recognized atthe KU-Appalachian State football game for setting an all-time high with a 3.49 grade point average this past spring. The tennis squad had the highest GPA of any KU team for the spring. In all, there were eight KU squads posting 3.0 GPAs or better last spring.

Additionally, the tennis team earned a 2005 ITA All-Academic Team Award for its spring GPA. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year (including Fall 2004 and Spring 2005).
