Lima led the #24 Jayhawks to a 2-0 record last week, including an upset of then-ranked #15 Texas A&M in the squad’s Big 12 opener. The three-time All-Big 12 First Team selection tallied a match-high 19 kills on a .467 hitting percentage, with 11 digs and four blocks in the sweep of the Aggies (30-26, 30-27, 30-19) in Lawrence on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Lima tied a career high with 21 kills in the 3-2 win over Oklahoma. She also compiled a .395 attack percentage and added 11 digs
and two blocks to the Jayhawk effort. With the victories against OU & A&M, KU is now 8-0 at home in 2005.

The 2002 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year averaged five kills, 2.75 digs, and 5.56 points with a .426 hitting percentage on the week. Lima currently has 1,274 career kills, just 32 short of becoming KU’s all-time leader.

Lima and the Jayhawks (10-1, 2-0 Big 12) are tied for second place in the league standings with Kansas State. KU travels to Austin to face #18 Texas on Wednesday.
