Men's Golf In Second, Pederson In First At Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –

The University of Kansas men’s golf team is in a tie for second place, in a 12-team field, after one round of the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate in Nashville, Tenn. Kansas opened the three-day tournament with a first round total of 292, at the par 72 Vanderbilt Legends Club.

“Zach played a very good round today,” head coach Ross Randall said. “We are still in the hunt for the team title, we just need to get everyone on the same page.”

Baylor is in first after shooting a first round of 290. Kansas is one of four teams tied for second.

Freshman Zach Pederson is in first place overall after firing a round of 68. Junior Gary Woodland is in a tie for sixth after shooting a 71. Senior Pete Krsnich is in a tie for 40th after carding a 76. Junior Barrett Martens shot a 77 and is in a tie for 47th. Junior Tyler Docking is in a tie for 62nd after shooting an 82.

Second round action tomorrow is set to begin at 8:45 a.m.
