K-Day Weekend Schedule Updated

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Lawrence, Kan. – To accommodate for the 11:30 am start to the KU-Baylor football game on October 13, the K-Day weekend schedule has been updated. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Starting at 11:30 am on Friday, the revised schedule will include golf at the Alvamar Golf Club followed by the K-Club social and former head football coach Don Fambrough’s 85th birthday party. The festivities for the day will be capped off with Kansas basketball’s annual opening night event, `Late Night’ in the Phog, starting at 6:45 pm.

Saturday kicks off with a football reunion and K-Club brunch starting at 9:30 am on `the Hill.’ The brunch will lead into the kickoff off the KU-Baylor football game where KU and NFL great John Riggins will be inducted into the Ring of Honor at halftime.

Over 300 former KU student athletes, managers and trainers are expected to take part in the festivities for the upcoming K-Day weekend on October 12 and 13. Stars from all of the Kansas sports teams are expected to participate in the weekend activities.
