KU's Stuckey Named Finalist For CLASS Award

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas safety Darrell Stuckey is one of 10 finalists for the Lowe’s Senior CLAASS Award for Football it was announced Thursday.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as a senior in the Football Bowl Subdivision and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – classroom, character, community and competition.
Fans have the opportunity to help select the winner of the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, whose 30 candidates include Kansas football player Darrell Stuckey.
Fans can go online at http://www.seniorclassaward.com/ and select up to three candidates per day. Fan voting will count for one-third of the selection process with the remaining two-thirds determined by NCAA Division FBS coaches and national media members.
Earlier this season Stuckey was named one of 11 members of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for his off the field contributions. In the preseason he was named to watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski (top defender), Chuck Bednarik (top defender), Jim Thorpe (top defensive back), and Ronnie Lott (on and off the field success for a defender) Awards
Stuckey, a senior safety has recorded 18 tackles in the last two games combined. He forced a fumble in KU’s last game against Southern Miss.
